nubi mirror

We created a fabric mirror in collaboration with Hermès Petit h. The mirror is assembled from offcuts of Hermès fabric, including cashmere, cotton, leather and wool. These offcuts were carefully selected and assembled reflecting both the palette of Hermès as well as Korean heritage.

Working closely with Hermès artisans, Korean traditional fabric technique ’nubi (누비)’ was reinterpreted to create a playful mix of patterns, texture and colours taking this traditional process into a playful and contemporary object.

The mirror was on display in the Hermès Dosan Seoul flagship store as a part of exhibition ’Memories, shapes by Hand (손으로 빚어낸 기억들)’ curated by art direction Song Hie Ryu (류성희).
